A distant discussion of FIBA Europe member states took place

On April 29, FIBA Europe hosted online discussion on countries ranked 33rd to 50th in the rankings. Armenia was among the participants.

Artur Nazaryan, Secretary General of Basketball Federation of Armena, briefly represented the situation in Armenian basketball during the days of the pandemic. It was noted that the biggest damage was for National Teams, which were going to participate in the European Championships in  summer.

Artur Nazaryan noted that BFA will try to organize additional training camps and friendly matches this summer, which will allow basketball U16 and U18 players to gain the necessary playing experience.

Basketball Federation of Armenia will make a decision on the resumption of domestic championships after May 14.

FIBA Europe President Turgay Demirel and Secretary General Kamil Novak made speeches, noting what steps will be taken to get out of the difficult situation.
